Wandsworth Lions Football Club (WLFC) scholarship programme is invitation only.

Our aim is to provide free football and a platform for young adults age 16 to 21 to continue playing football, while continuing to learn in high education or learning a trade. Invited players must be in sixth-form, college, university or doing apprenticeship. 

 

Majority of players will be invited from Centre Of Excellence, with a few being selected from our annual trials. A player would need to show commitment, great attitude to learning (coachable) and working within a team as well as good to excellent ability to be invited. A player must also be able to combine education/apprenticeship with football.

 

Scholarship are split into two groups; U18 scholarship and U21 scholarship.
