Wandsworth Lions FC is a football club based in Wandsworth; offering football for children age 4 to 21. Our lions cubs session is a place where all abilities age 4 to 6 (Nursery to Year 1) can attend to get quality coaching and establish their fundamentals of football. Our sessions are topic based, which means coaches look to teach our players a specific topic for a period to aid player development; teaching the how as they begin their journey.

All sessions are during term time only. No session during the week/s of school half term/holidays or bank holiday (including bank holiday weekend).

How To Become A Member / Book A Session

BECOME A MEMBER

Membership booking is open from Saturday 12:00pm – Friday 2:00pm.​

  1. Check session availability (on the right) for your child’s age group.

  2. If spaces are available, fill in the membership form (scroll down). You will then be taken to the payment page.

  3. Make your child’s payment.

  4. Visit “Buy Kit” and select “Development Centre Kit” to order training kit from our supplier.

  5. Your child can attend the next session as a member. They can start training before the kit arrives.

Membership has priority – new members can join before a session starts, as long as space is available.

​

Membership types:

  • Monthly (long-term) – can be joined any time if there is space.

  • Full term (short-term) – only available during the first two weeks of a new term (not half-term or holidays)

 

BOOK A SESSION / TRY OUT

Try-outs and single-session bookings are only available on SATURDAYS (school term).

  1. Check session availability (right) for your child’s age group.

  2. If space is available, email us your child’s full name, age, and current school year.

  3. Wait for our reply (check Junk/Spam).

  4. After receiving approval, make payment on Friday, after 2pm.

  5. Attend the Saturday session.

  6. If you wish to join as a member, membership booking opens Saturday 11pm – Friday 2pm.

Important:

  • Do NOT pay before Friday 2pm – spaces must be confirmed first.

  • Parents must contact us before Friday 2pm. Messages sent after Friday 2pm will be answered the following week.

WAITING LIST

If there is no space in your child’s age group, email us to:

  • Ask about availability, or

  • Add your child to the waiting list (see link for more info) - click here​

If there is space, you may sign up as a member without emailing.

Training Kit

All members are required to purchase and wear club training kit to training.

To purchase a kit, visit our shop and click the link which will direct you to our supplier. Members need the following kit:

  • Blue Top (development centre top)

  • Yellow Shorts

  • Blue Socks

 

We advise parent/guardian buys appropriate weather kits.

Children are to wear blue if booking as a non-member or waiting for kit to arrive.

If your child/children are new (tryout), please email full name, age and school year to be placed on our register. Non-member booking to email about availability before booking.

 

Try-out and non-members booking to be made after Friday (3pm) to attend Saturday.

Children will be placed in groups based on age and/or ability.

If a child excels within his/her age group, we will look to move them up an age group to ensure they're developing to their full potential.

If a child struggles within his/her age group, we will look to move them down to ensure they're enjoying and developing effectively.

Session Time: 10:10am to 11am (arrive 10mins early)

Location: Wandle Recreational Centre,

Mapleton Road, SW18 4DN (3G pitch, outdoor)

Membership Form (Booking Only)

Membership is for parent/guardian who want their child/children to commit to our football sessions, whether short term or long term. For try out, please scroll up.

 

Completing booking form forfeits any try out, regardless if payment process is completed.

Once a week football classes per month

Sign up to once a week football development sessions (Saturdays) - for a child/children under age 5.

​

Parent/Guardian can book a school full term (one off payment) or sign up for  monthly recurring payments (12 months minimum payment).

Cancellation/Refund Policy

For pay to play (per session) refund, a 48 hours notice (before session date) must be given if requesting a refund. Any request for refund less than 48 hours will not be granted, but parent/guardian may be allowed to bring their child to attend another date. Stripe admin fee will be deducted from refund issued.

Monthly members wanting to cancel their membership before the 12 month payment is over must give a one month termination notice before leaving. Parent/Guardian should expect to be billed one extra month to cover discount received as a  monthly member committing to long-term football.

It is the responsible of member (parent//guardian) to inform of cancellation if leaving after 12 monthly. Monthly members place are reserved as it automatically renews, and subsequently a potential new member may be blocked if leaving without notice.

There are no refund for full term members not attending sessions or cancellation.
